Treva Ruth McMillan Stout

Mrs. Treva Ruth McMillan Stout, 89, passed away Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. She was born on June 4, 1923 in Ashe County to Thomas Defore McMillan and Ennice Miller McMillan. She retired from Hanes Knitting with thirty years of service. Mrs. Stout was a member of Ardmore Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior Citizens group. Mrs. Stout was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Lee Roy Stout. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Clifton and her husband Larry of Beaufort, NC; a grandson, Jason Jeffares of Charlotte; a sister, Louise Fletcher of Roanoke, Va; a brother, Ben McMillan of Moravian Falls; also, several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Christa Warise officiating.
