Treva Anne Snyder Foltz of Winston-Salem, died Thursday, May 5 2011 at Salemtowne. She was born to John Wesley Snyder and Treva Adelia Shore Snyder in Forsyth County on August 14, 1926. She graduated from Griffith High School and earned a degree in Physical Education from the Women's College of North Carolina (the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.) She married Herbert H. Foltz on June 28, 1947. She taught at Reynolds High School and then became a homemaker for her growing family. She was a lifetime Moravian and very active in Trinity Moravian Church. She was active in home demonstration club and was a scout leader for the girl scout troop at Trinity. She served on the Provincial Women's Board, as a delegate to synod, taught Bethel Bible Classes and was a Stephen's minister. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Elizabeth Johnson and Hilda Williams; and her step mother, Pearl Longworth Snyder. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Herbert H. Foltz of Winston-Salem; her sisters, Margaret Harrison of Winston-Salem and Jane Norris, and husband Thomas of Raleigh, NC, Her sisters in law; Erlene Foltz of Winston-Salem, and Ruth Crissman of Jonesville, NC; her children David Foltz of Winston-Salem, Marilyn Lamm and husband William of Mount Airy, The Rev. Carol Foltz of Winston-Salem, and John Foltz of Chicago, IL; three grandchildren, Dena Moore and husband Shane of Winston-Salem, Christopher Lamm and wife Meredith of Asheville, NC, and Anne Lamm of Mount Airy, NC; and a great grandson, Vincent Moore; and nieces and nephews who were very close to her. Her service will be Tuesday, May 10 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Moravian Church with the burial at Salem Moravian Graveyard, The Rev. John Jackman, The Rev. Bill McElveen and The Rev. Sandra Thigpen presiding. The family will receive visitors at 1:00 PM in the Sanctuary.
