Treva Holman Boyles

Kernersville - Treva Holman Boyles, 99, a loving wife, mother and three-generation grandmother, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Kernersville Medical Center. She was born April 18, 1917 in Watauga County to the late Will and Grace Graham Holman. Treva was an active member of Parkview Primitive Baptist Church who had a love of gardening. In addition to her parents, Treva was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harding Boyles and siblings, Viola Jones, Ophelia, Jake, Cliff, and Reeves Holman. Surviving are her daughter, Ophelia B. Jackson; son, Wayne Boyles and wife, Kathryn all of Kernersville; grandchildren, Larry Boyles, Donna Rice and husband Mark, Lisa Willard and husband Scott all of Kernersville, Travis Boyles and wife Ashley of Bumpass, VA; eight great grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Allison, Holly, Jacob, Elijah, Zane and Jake; three great great-grandchildren, Lochlan, Liam and Kainoa; and one sister Willa Gray Hayes Wood and husband Alton. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, June 20, 2016 at Parkview Primitive Baptist Church with Elder E.W. Hooven officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. Memorials may be made to Parkview Primitive Baptist Church, 3209 Ridgewood Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Harding, her loving husband had always said, ""She's been a good'n."" And she was.
