Travis Joyner

Mr. Travis Ray Joyner, age 72, of Lewisville passed away, March 6, 2022. He was born March 29, 1949, in Forsyth County to the late Walter Ray Joyner and Eunice Doub Joyner. Mr. Joyner served his country in many ways, to include the U.S. Army, U.S. Customs, and the United States Postal Service, retiring with 42 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, playing golf, and watching Wake Forest Basketball. Travis also had a great appreciation of the culinary arts. Mr. Joyner is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sheree Shelton Joyner; their twin daughters, Jamie (Brian) Schmitt, and Dr. Jordan (Chiu) Ma; grandchildren, Barrett Robert Schmitt, Beckett Ray Schmitt, CJ Ray Ma; sisters, Wanda (Archie) Alexander, Frances (Tony) Gough, Dorcas (Walter) Garretson, Rhonda Joyner, Karen (Allen) Frey; brother, Eugene (Susan) Joyner; and several nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday March 9, 2022, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller in Lewisville. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 10, 2022, in the Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.
