Tommy Edward Rominger

Mr. Tommy Edward Rominger, 87, of Pfafftown, NC, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mr. Rominger was born in Forsyth County on January 6, 1929, to the late William J. Rominger and Hallie Adams Rominger. Tommy was a member of Maple Springs United Methodist Church. He was employed with Hennis Trucking Company and retired from Spector Trucking Company. Following his retirement, Tommy started a second career with the Red Cross and retired after ten years of service. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rominger was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Hemrick; four brothers and two sisters. Tommy is survived by his wife, Faye Fulp Rominger of the home; one son, Curtis Rominger and wife, Shelba of Pfafftown, NC; a daughter, Kathy Waddell and husband, Terry of Pfafftown, NC; four grandchildren, Bradley Rominger and wife, Gwen, Amber Gutierrez, Emily Waddell, and Kaitlin Waddell; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Lou Pitts. Funeral services for Mr. Rominger will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Maple Springs United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeff Coppley and Pastor Bev Coppley officiating. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Maple Springs United Methodist Church, 2569 Reynolda Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27106 or the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
