In loving memory of Tommy Keith Browder, whose life was filled with kindness, love, and unshakable faith. He peacefully passed away on December 14th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Carlie T. Browder and Luciphine “Lucy” Smith Browder.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ardith Browder; son, Taylor Browder; Ginny the family dog; and a community of friends and acquaintances who cherished his friendship, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Tommy, an exceptional father to Taylor Browder and devoted husband to Ardith Browder, was a shining example of godliness and compassion. His heart was an open door, never knowing a stranger and always extending a warm welcome to those around him.
His love knew no bounds, especially evident during his cherished Christmas tradition. Tommy and Ardith began a heartfelt tradition of opening their home on Christmas night, offering a haven to those without a place to belong. Their generosity created a sense of family and warmth for all who crossed their threshold.
Tommy found solace and joy by the river where he and family members went during the summer. It was his sanctuary, his haven, where he found peace and happiness. His love for the river was a reflection of his free spirit and love for nature's beauty. Especially bird watching.
He lived a life enriched by simple pleasures, southern gospel music, food, particularly buffets, and being a thrifty bargain shopper. Tommy has a keen eye for deals, always embracing his role as thrifty bargain shopper, and his knack for finding hidden treasures. Tommy was always dressed impeccably and loved to match. Tommy had a weekly card game with his buddies and always won. His evenings were often spent with Ardith, his adoring wife. Tommy loved to watch classic Western TV shows, accompanied by his beloved dog Ginny, finding comfort in their companionship.
Tommy was a proud veteran, having served valiantly in Vietnam, later dedicating himself to serving his community as part of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Department. Tommy was an incredible auctioneer for cars, his skill and enthusiasm were unmatched, captivating audiences with his expertise and charm.
Among his favorite indulgences was German chocolate cake, a sweet treat that mirrored his sweet and generous nature.
Tommy Keith Browder's departure leaves a void impossible to fill. However, his legacy of love, faith, and selflessness will forever echo in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of Tommy’s life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 12:00PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Clark Chilton officiating.
