Toby Lee Mason

KERNERSVILLE-Toby Lee Mason, 68, a loving dad and papa, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born October 13, 1941 in Forsyth Co. to the late Leon and Dorcas Myers Mason. Mr. Mason was a member of Waughtown Baptist Church. He retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. after 35 years of service. Toby was an avid golfer and a member of Pine Knolls Golf Association; he also was an avid hunter and enjoyed the times he spent hunting. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Norman Mason. Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Sears and husband Tommy and Angie Mahaffey all of Winston Salem; two grandchildren, Emilee Sears and Justin Mahaffey; two brothers, Wayne Mason and wife Linda of Mocksville and Keith Mason of Charleston, SC. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Chris Byrne officiating. The family will receive friends following the service and at other times at the home of Mr. Mason.
