Timothy Swider

Mr. Timothy Antony Swider, 61, of Winston-Salem passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 3, 2021. He was a talented musician, caring husband, and loving father. He was born in Birmingham, AL on December 7, 1959 to Tony Swider and Jean West Swider. Tim graduated high school in 1978 from R.J. Reynolds High School and graduated from East Carolina University in 1982. He co-owned Blue Sky 401k Specialists with Randy Glass and Marcella Moss. He was married to the love of his life, Rebecca, for 37 years. They raised two daughters together, Brit and Katherine. Tim loved his family and would do anything for them. He was so proud of his girls. His hobbies included playing guitar, helping others, and collecting things. A strength noted on his first grade report card that remained constant throughout his life was that he made friends easily. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Swider; daughters, Brit Swider (Todd Payne) and Katherine Swider (Guillaume Roux); sister, Angie (David) Gay; brother, Matt (Della) Swider; father-in-law, George Howard; furry companion, Milo; and a host of childhood friends, extended family members, coworkers, and jammin' buddies. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory with Father Steve Rice officiating.
