Timothy Curtis Tim" Pope

Mr. Timothy Curtis ""Tim"" Pope, 56 of Winston-Salem, NC died Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the Kindred Hospital. Tim was born September 20, 1952 in Forsyth County to Grady Lee Pope and Cornelia Britt Pope. He was a 1970 graduate of North Davidson High School and was of the Baptist Faith. Tim owned and operated Ruby's Ice Cream Company for 28 years and loved bringing smiles to all the kids he served. He enjoyed playing baseball as a youth and was an avid sports fan. Tim loved to get away to the peace and serenity of the mountains, enjoying the beauty of nature. He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving is his wife 29 years, Kathryn Walker Pope of the home; his mother, Cornelia Britt Pope of Lexington, NC; his brother, Teddy Lee Pope of Winston-Salem; a nephew, Joshua J. Pope and wife, Brandi of Winston-Salem, great nieces, Phoenix and Nox Pope and a host of loving family members and friends. The Family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 pm Tuesday, February 24 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The Funeral Service will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 25 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel officiated by Rev. Clint Branch. Entombment will follow in the Parklawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
