Timothy Lee Morton, age 34, passed away on Tuesday, February 17th, at 2:15 in the morning. He fought a courageous battle with many health issues and remained strong and determined until he peacefully breathed his last breath with his Mother by his side. He was born in Forsyth County on March 24, 1980. Timothy was one of the most Personable, Kind-Hearted, Intelligent and Honest men you ever might know. In Timothy's short life, many strong qualities were evidentâ¦among them: compassion, integrity, determination, creativity and a strong sense of ethics. His sense of humor was enjoyed by many, especially his Mom. Timothy was a 1998 graduate of R J Reynolds High School and a graduate of Appalachian State University with a double major in Finance/Banking and Economics. Timothy was self-employed and especially enjoyed his work with antiques and gold. Ocracoke Island was a favorite place of Timothy's where he enjoyed fishing off the pier at the Harborside. He spent many happy days at Belews Creek fishing from his boat which he bought from his Uncle Bobby at the age of 14. He was a champion pool player and enjoyed a good game of golf. Tim was an avid collector of many fine things. But foremost Timothy loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart!! In addition to his Mother, Debbie Morton, he is survived by his Father, Davey Morton and wife Deanie; Grandmother Janice Morton, and Step-Grandmother Dorothy Woodall; Uncles, Bobby Woodall (Robin) and Jeff Morton; a special cousin, Lee Woodall (Stephanie); Step-Uncles, Eric Woodall (Jessica) and Kevin Woodall; and many other loving family members. A most Special Companion to Tim was his cat, Fred. Preceding Timothy in death were his maternal Grandmother, Vera Kinzer; his maternal Grandfather, Robert Woodall; and Paternal Grandfather, Davey Lee Morton. A Celebration of Timothy's life will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 21st, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday, February 20th, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek. Memorials may be made to the Charity of donor's choice.
