Pastor Timothy ""Tim"" Charles Day, 62, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Tim was born in Crawford County, PA on December 18, 1954, to Charles Day and Jeanne Schneider. He served as pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. He touched the lives of countless people during his many years of serving his Lord through teaching and preaching. In addition to his parents, Tim is survived by his wife, Vicky Day of Winston-Salem; four children, Jessica Jones (Terry) of Ohio, Michael Day (Jessica) of Alabama, Elisabeth Palmer (Brad) of North Carolina, and Nathanael Day of West Virginia; nine grandchildren, Michael, Hannah, Kara, Ryan, Chance, Abigail, Thaddeus, Adalina, and Araya; two brothers, Jon Day (Leslie) of Kentucky and Jeff Day (Linda) of Ohio; and one sister, Jennifer Day of Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor David Pitman officiating. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
