Timothy Cook

Mr. Timothy Lee Cook, 60, went to be with the Lord on February 28, 2022. He was born on April 29, 1961, in Forsyth County to Larry and Nancy Cook. Tim retired from Reynolds American Inc. in 2012 after 33 years. While working at Reynolds, he was also fortunate to work alongside his close friends Gregg Coalson and Jerry Clodfelter doing landscaping for over 20 years. Preceding him in death is his father, Larry Lee Cook. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Susan Walker Cook, his two sons, Tyler Henderson Cook and Taylor Fearrington Cook; his mother, Nancy Dull Cook; sister, Beverly Barber (Andy); and father-in-law, Archie Davis Walker. Also surviving are his nephews Drew Barber (Susan), Alex Barber (Julia), Austin Barber, and Jonathan and Aaron Rothrock; his great nieces and nephews, Addison, Noah, Ruby, and Claire, who absolutely adored their Uncle Tim. Also his cousin, Jimmy Dull, who was like a brother, and his lifelong best friend Danny Darden. Tim was an avid Wake Forest fan who provided the best tailgate food and entertainment. He loved trivia, had an excellent memory, and could remember every detail, while making everyone around him laugh. Tim also loved working on his land, enjoyed gardening, and helping his sons grow their landscaping business.  Tim loved his wife, Susan, who stayed by his side throughout his lengthy illness, as did his beloved sons Tyler and Taylor. He treasured days at the beach with friends and family and fishing with his father at the North Carolina coast. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 11:00 at River Oaks Community Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to River Oaks Community Church or Concord United Methodist Church.
