Timothy 'Tim' Allen Brewer

As the world suffers a great tragedy with the loss of Timothy ""Tim"" Allen Brewer, God's kingdom was blessed with his presence on Thursday, October 18, 2012. Mr. Brewer was born in Winston-Salem on May 10, 1956 to Dempsey Bailey Brewer Sr. and Frances Amos Brewer. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Debra Wilkins. Surviving are his loving wife of 31 years- Deborah Brewer, a son-Craig Himes, a daughter-Bobbie-Leigh Brewer, a grandson-Jeffrey ""Deuce"" Gibson II, siblings-Dempsey Brewer Jr. (Trish) of East Bend, Beth Wagoner (Terry) of Yadkinville, Teresa Wilmoth (Mark) of Lewisville, Beverly Everhart (John) of Arcadia, David Brewer of Winston-Salem, brothers at heart-Steve Eads of King, Butch Brewer of Winston-Salem, Tim Price of Stokesdale, Jerry Duncan of Clemmons, Carl Matthews of Yadkinville, several cousins, nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends and loved ones. Mr. Brewer graduated from Parkland High School and after 32 dedicated years of service, retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in 2009. He was a fun-loving soul who never met a stranger, and he enjoyed lifting the spirits of others whenever he could by volunteering at The Shepherd's Center and by participating in fundraisers for the National Kidney Foundation. He also enjoyed fellowship and service with his brethren at the Copeland Masonic Lodge #390 in Dobson, where he was a Master Mason. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with the Rev. Jeffrey Jones officiating. A graveside service will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, where he will be buried with full Masonic rites. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm, Saturday, at the funeral home.
