Thomas Harold Worswick

Mr. Thomas Harold Worswick, 73, of Clemmons went home to the Lord on Tuesday January 5, 2016 from Forsyth Medical Center. Tom was born in Port Huron, MI, October 25, 1942 to Thomas and Bernice Worswick and raised with his brother Michael on the banks of the St. Clair River. Tom earned his undergraduate degree from Western Michigan University and his graduate degree from Wayne State University. After 30 years of service at General Motors, Tom retired shortly after completing the management of the Corvette exterior. Tom was a man of strong faith, studying the bible each morning and closing every day in prayer with his wife Suzanne. He was a man whose wisdom was sought by others and whose humility and kindness grew with each passing year. Tom was a member of Ardmore Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. Tom held three loves from his childhood: boating, music and Lionel trains. He played clarinet locally in church and with community bands and over the years he has gifted a train set to each child and grandchild. Tom was a dedicated family man who enjoyed spending time with his wife of 51 years, children, grandchildren, relatives and friends. Tom is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved wife, Suzanne; brother Michael and family; three children, Thomas (Sandy), Elizabeth (Ron), and Stephanie (David) and seven grandchildren, Courtney, Nicole, Connor, Thomas ""TJ"", David Nathan, Zoe and Levi. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. at Ardmore Baptist Church, 501 Miller Street in Winston-Salem.
