KERNERSVILLE- Thomas Lee ""Buzz"" Wilson, Sr., 76, entered into rest, October 30, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born August 28, 1933 in Rockingham Co. to the late W. Pink and Ila Barham Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer with the Navy after 20 years of service and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Buzz later co-owned and operated, with Betty, a Tupperware wholesale distributorship. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul William Wilson. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Betty Barrow Wilson of the home; two children, Tommy Wilson (Sherry), and Anita Davis (Randy) all of Kernersville; two sisters, Louise W. Albert (Drexal) of Stokesdale, Carol W. Rumley (Fred) of SC; one brother, Wade Wilson (Betty) of Stokesdale; three grandchildren, Denny Davis (Victoria), Samantha Wilson, and Christopher Wilson; one great-grandchild, Abigail Davis; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Dean and Dr. Brooks Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. Memorials may be made to either Union Grove Baptist Church General Fund, 5424 Union Grove Rd., Oak Ridge, NC 27310, or Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, WS, NC 27103.
