Thomas Herman Williams Jr.

WILLIAMS - WINSTON-SALEM Mr. Thomas Herman Williams Jr., 72, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born February 23, 1940 in Pulaski County, VA to the late Thomas Herman Williams Sr. and Nellie Edmonds Williams. Mr. Williams was a member of Woodland Baptist Church. He was a truck driver for Consolidated Freightways for many years and was known by colleagues and friends as ""Cowboy."" In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by a daughter, Vivian Annette Williams; and five loving siblings. Surviving are his devoted wife, Kathryn Williams; three beloved children: Bronna Gesler (Richard), Joey Williams Sr. (Judi) and Sherry Doub (Allen); step-daughter, Anna McGee (Eddy); ten grandchildren: Taylor, Katelyn, Dakota, Amanda, Joey Jr., Jenna, Jace, Victoria, Thomas and Tanner; two step-grandchildren: Ashley and John; three great-grandchildren: Autumn, Dylan, Ayla; and also, ten loving siblings. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Woodland Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Gammons, Dr. Joe Myers and Rev. David Joyce officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
