Thomas White, Jr.

Mr. Thomas Luther White Jr., 88, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021.  He was born November 6, 1932, in Stokes County to the late Thomas Luther White Sr and Carrie Boles White.  Mr. White was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Stanleyville.  Mr. White was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.  In addition to his parents, Mr. White was preceded in death by his loving Wife of 66 years, Sophia T. White; three brothers Robie White, Charlie White, and Larston White, and one sister; Irene White. He is Survived by two daughters, Annette Hill (Chris) and Tina Coble (Scott); four grandchildren: Matthew, Sean, Brittney, and Jacob; six great-grandchildren: Lane, Michael, Henry, Jaxon, Lily and Hensley; one sister; Josephine Speas; and numerous extended family.  A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, August 26, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Honeycutt officiating.  Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane, Ste. 200 Mount Airy, NC 27030.
