Thomas Garner Stikeleather

KERNERSVILLE - Mr. Thomas Garner Stikeleather, 76, died Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Piney Grove Nursing and Rehab. Thomas was born on June 18, 1938 in Mecklenburg County to William Garner and Dorothy Lineberger Stroupe Stikeleather. Thomas was a veteran of the US Navy, retiring from serving our country after 30 years. Following his service in the Navy, he then worked for Lucent Technologies. Thomas was an elder at First Presbyterian Church of Kernersville.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Norma Ervin Stikeleather; two daughters, Thomasina Lackey (husband, Keith) and Cynthia Lilly (husband, Barry); and one sister, Lynda Geary.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church in Kernersville with the Rev. Dr. Thomas Burleson officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
