Thomas James Russell

Thomas James Russell, 29, of Burlington passed away February 15, 2011. He was born November 3, 1981 in Carteret County, NC. He was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Taylor, Sr. and his uncles, John and Lloyd Taylor. Mr. Russell is survived by his mother and father, Dorothy Taylor Russell and James W. Russell of Winston-Salem and his father, Andrew Silvia of Gloucester, NC; a son, Gabriel Russell of Georgia; three sisters, Elizabeth Ann Ervin of Winston-Salem, Lisa Taylor of Efland, and Laurie Hutchins of Wilmington; three brothers, Wade, Andy, and Stevie Silvia; his grandmothers, Dorothy Taylor, Jean Russell, and Bea Silvia; two uncles, Thomas and Floyd Taylor; a niece, Jessica; a nephew, Curtis; his cousins, Tommy, Kent, and Kimberly; best friend, Nathan Maready and good friends, Jackie Brooks and family. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00am, Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
