Ray had eight grandchildren, Donovan, Lucas and Darci Wendeborn; and Sierra, Alyssa, Conner, Casey and Kylie Ray. Also surviving are his sister, Annabel R. McIntyre, and her husband, John, of Myrtle Beach, S.C. A celebration of his life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 5, at Kingwoods United Methodist Church in Rural Hall, with the Rev. Sidney Lanier and the Rev. Fred Moretz officiating. The family will receive friends after the celebration.
