Mr. Thomas Joe Keasler, 65, of Winston-Salem passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born June 11, 1945 in Oconoee County, SC to Thomas Jesse and Fannie ""Lillian"" Wooten Keasler who preceded him in death. Mr. Keasler was retired from Cone Mills with 37 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was the ninth of ten children. Surviving are his wife, Nita Nixon Keasler; a son, Thomas J. Keasler, Jr. and wife Tonia of Marion; a daughter, Kelly Hunnicutt and husband Anthony of West Union, SC; six grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Misty Duggins of Winston-Salem and Tammy Davis of Hillsborough; three sisters, Mary Lou Peay, Betty Holland and Margaret Woodall, all of Westminster, SC; and one brother, Dan Keasler of Big Canoe, GA. The family will receive friends Monday, November 22, 2010 from 6pm to 9pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel and at other times at their residence. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
