Mr. Thomas Edmond Hicks, 81, of Winston-Salem passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the NC State Veterans Home in Salisbury. He was born on April 3, 1932 in Alleghany County to William Everette and Gladys Maxey Hicks. Mr. Hicks retired from the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of service. He was last stationed at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland as Chief Mechanic of the 89th Military Aircraft Wing for Air Force One. Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Rosemary Adams Hicks. He is survived by two daughters, Patsy Hicks Chrysson of Winston-Salem and Pamela Hicks McIntyre and husband Gary of Archdale; two grandsons, Adam Thomas Brooks and wife Laura of Asheboro, and Jonathan McIntyre of Raleigh; a granddaughter, Diana Lauren Chrysson of Winston-Salem; three sisters, Juanita Royal, Geraldine Bowers, and Mary Hutchinson; and a brother, Henry Hicks. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Winston-Salem). Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to National Parkinson Foundation, P.O.
