Mr. Thomas Mark Henley, 61, of Pfafftown, passed away, Saturday, June 25, 2016. He was born April 21, 1955 in Forsyth County to Ova D. and Louise Walton Henley. Mark graduated from North Forsyth High School in 1973. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad on July 6, 2015 after 41 years of service. He was a diehard Duke Blue Devil fan and was a season ticket holder who never missed a game in person or on television. Mr. Henley was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem. He coached little league baseball at Northwest Forsyth Little League and Basketball at WCCC. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving daughter, Amie Henley Lamb; two brothers, Wayne and Rodney; two sisters, Faye H. Kapp and JoAnn H. Cadd; two brother-in-laws, Jim Doss and Bill Kapp and other special nieces and nephews. Surviving are his wife, Robin P. Henley; his children, Thomas Chad (Amanda), Kirby E. Brown (John) and Landon Henley; five grandchildren, Oliver Lamb, Carter, Jacob and Ava Henley and Rylee Sulier and one grandchild expected in December. Also surviving are two brothers, Byron Henley and Gerald Henley (Terri) and a sister, Wanda Jean Doss; sister-in laws, Donna and Jewel Henley; one brother-in-law, Emory Cadd (Lucy) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Will Toburen officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In honor of Mark, the family asks that you wear your Duke apparel to his service. Memorials can be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 4700 Old Walkertown Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27105 in memory of Mark.
