Mr. Thomas ""Tommy"" Worth Hardin, 54, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. Tommy was born in Princess Anne County, VA on July 13, 1960 to Robert Worth and Frances Strickland Hardin. He, first and foremost, loved Jesus. Tommy was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a Boy Scout leader. He was a craftsman in everything he did and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He was an avid football fan, quarterback of his Havelock High School football team, and coached Pop Warner Broncos football. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, hiking, and watersports. Tommy will be remembered as a caring husband, son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a compassionate and loving man who never met a stranger, and loved to give hugs. He was preceded in death by his father, and a nephew, Josh Hines. Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Beth Hardin; three sons, Thomas Worth Hardin, Jr., William Robert Hardin, and Chase Bennett Hardin; his mother, and his stepfather, Phillip W. White; a brother, Jim Hardin and wife Tammy; two sisters, Pam Gardner and husband, Barry, and Roberta Caton and husband, Tracy; four nieces, Carly and Brett Gardner, Jennifer Rogers, and Katie Hannah; and two nephews, Nate Hardin and Grayson Rogers. A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm, Monday, February 23, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Pastor Roger Schoolcraft officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
