Mr. Thomas "Aiden" Fauber, 18, of Kernersville, passed away Thursday September 28, 2023, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born July 18, 2005, in Guilford County to Thomas M. Fauber, Ill and Elizabeth Hovis Fauber. Our beloved "Redheaded Skunk Monkey" had the biggest heart, and he would give you the shirt off his back. He loved baseball and started playing at 4 years old. Over the years Aiden was a shy little guy until he neared adulthood when he started living his life to the fullest. He was a hands-on worker, he enjoyed working on things like his car and motorcycle and would help whoever asked. Aiden always said he didn't want to have kids when he got older, he just wanted to raise monkeys. He loved going camping with his Memaw, Granddaddy and Aunt Sara. Aiden taught himself how to play the guitar, two songs that stuck out to everyone are King Spirit and Simple Man. He always had a baseball cap on. He loved his family and his two lifelong best friends of ten years, Jackson, and Dylan, with his whole heart. Aiden was always a competitive person and in the end Aiden was the first person within the Trauma ICU who was able to be an organ donor in a very short amount of time. He saved several people's lives and changed so many.
He was preceded in death by his uncle "Bubba", Bobby "PaPotz" Hovis, Jr., Little Granny, Great Grandparents, Great-Great Grandparents, and a Great Uncle.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas M. Fauber Ill and Elizabeth H. Fauber; three siblings: Bailey Fauber, Jacen and Carmen Hovis; his paternal Grandparents Thomas M Fauber II, Sharon Fauber, and Kay Blackwell; maternal Grandparents, Bobby R. Hovis, Jr, (deceased), Starr M. Hovis, and DeEtta E. Gentry; Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and his girlfriend, Madison Bondurant.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 6, 2023 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville.
... Too soon he left this earthly road
Riding beyond where we could see
But it's all about the endless journey
Now forever riding free.....
