KERNERSVILLE-Thomas Paul Crutchfield, 62, passed Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born January 7, 1947 in Raleigh Co., WV to the late Walter Alva and Laura Bourne Crutchfield. Mr. Crutchfield retired from Eastern Airlines after 23 years of employment. He was a member of I.A.M. Lodge 641. Later he was self-employed as a licensed general contractor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, James Crutchfield; two half sisters, Lula and Mary; and one half brother, Morton Crutchfield. Surviving are his wife, Ann Robinette Crutchfield of the home; one daughter, Kristen Brown and husband Jeremy of Virginia Beach, VA; one son, David Crutchfield and wife Anne of Raleigh; one grandson, Daniel Jackson Crutchfield; one brother, Charles Crutchfield and wife Darlene of Winston Salem; one sister-in-law, Mitzi Crutchfield of Kernersville; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 pm Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Dr. Bonnie Harris officiating. Entombment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 1018 Piney Grove Rd., Kernersville, NC 27284 or Kernersville YMCA Partnership with Youth, 1113 West Mountain St., Kernersville, NC 27284
