Thomas William Cheek

Mr. Thomas William Cheek, 83, passed away at his home on Friday, October 5, 2012. He was born in Forsyth Co. on July 13, 1929 the son of the late William Spencer Cheek and Eva Ethel Mason Cheek. Mr. Cheek proudly served our country during the Korean War in the United States Army. He retired from Western Electric with 30 + years of service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Locklear Cheek. He is survived by a son, Dwight David Cheek, a daughter, Susan Ann Slate, a grandson, Mitchell David Cheek, a brother, Howard Lee Cheek Sr. and wife Ann and a sister, Elizabeth Evie Weston and husband Keith. A memorial service celebrating Mr. Cheek's life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the home of Rick and Ashley Cheek in Pinnacle. Private burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family asks that memorials be made to; National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.
