Thomas Bragg

Thomas Lloyd Bragg “Tommy Steel”, 49, lost his battle to COVID on June 9th at Kernersville Medical Center surrounded by family.  He was born May 16th, 1972 to Nancy Martin and David Bragg, Jr. in Manassas Va. Tommy spent most of his childhood in Greenbrier county WV with his mother’s family.  He graduated from Greenbrier East High School, class of 1991.  After High School Tommy joined the Army Reserves, 811th Ordnance Company. He served in Operation Joint Endeavor and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant in 1998. After returning from service, Tommy pursued his passion of Professional Wrestling.  He was a graduate of Ken Spence School of Professional Wrestling, and later attended Dory Funk’s Funkatoruim in 1999.  He went on to become a multi-promotional tag team champion.  Tommy was very involved in the sport, in and outside of the ring. Outside of professional wrestling, Tommy was a licensed electrician by trade.  He was very proud of his work and pursued his education within the field.  He worked to become an electrical inspector for Davidson county and the Town of Kernersville.  Tommy enjoyed teaching others his skill set and also worked as an adjunct instructor for Forsyth Tech. Tommy was of strong Christian faith and was adamant about his salvation through Jesus Christ.  He assured his family with his peace, remaining strong in faith, throughout his battle. Tommy was preceded in death by both parents, and two brothers, Roger and John O’Dell.  He is survived by his spouse, Chrystal Bragg, and three children, Savanah, Michael, and Summer.  He has one surviving brother, David O’Dell, and sisters, Jeanne Bragg, Audrey Bragg, Sharon Broyles, Donna Edwards.  Tommy was beloved by aunts and uncles, many nieces and nephews, and extended family.  He was a friend and mentor to many and will be dearly missed. A Memorial Service will be held at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 6 PM. The Family will receive friends from 5-5:45 PM prior to the service.
