Thomas Settle Boyles, Jr.

Mr. Thomas Settle Boyles, Jr., 90, of Winston-Salem died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born March 5, 1921 in Forsyth County, the son of the late, Thomas Settle Boyles, Sr. and Martha Ellen Tuttle Boyles. Mr. Boyles was of the Baptist faith and served with the US navy during World War II. He was retired from the Veterans Administration following 34 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Wilson Boyles and wife, Marguerite. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. David Childers officiating. Burial will follow in Quaker Gap Baptist Church Cemetery in King. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
