Thomas William Bateman

Mr. Thomas William Bateman, age 87 of Bermuda Run, passed away peacefully at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem on December 30, 2014. He was born in Huntington, W.V. on October 20, 1927 to Mary Deegans and Thomas Paul Bateman. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. His career was in sales management in the chemical business, and he served in World War II as an Army paratrooper. He is survived by his wife, Jeanine Sterling Bateman, son Thomas (Mary Jo) of Charlottesville, Va., son Scott (Sherry) of Richmond, Va., and a daughter, Kimberly (Dale) Wachtel of Charlotte, N.C.
