TUTTLE - RURAL HALL Mrs. Thelma Newsome Tuttle, 95, passed away Friday, March 19, 2010 at Oak Forest Health & Rehabilitation. She was born October 7, 1914 in Stokes County to the late Clady Simeon Newsome and Rena Love Newsome. Mrs. Tuttle was a member of King Moravian Church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tuttle was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Leslie Tuttle; and one brother, Newell Newsome. Surviving are three sons, Leslie Gray Tuttle (Judy), Marcus N. Tuttle, and Michael V. Tuttle (Linda); one daughter, Mary Ann Tuttle; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one sister, Dorothy Marshall; also several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, March 22 at King Moravian Church with the Rev. Jimmie Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 21 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to King Moravian Church, Pipe Organ Fund, 228 W. Dalton Road, King, NC 27021.
