Thelma Riley Terrell

Thelma Riley Terrell, 95, passed away Monday, November 5, 2012 at Bayside Golden Living Center in Poquoson, Virginia. Mrs. Terrell was born February 23, 1917 in Hillsborough, North Carolina. She is predeceased by her husband, Reverend Lawrence A. Terrell, who served as pastor for the Redland Pentecostal Holiness Church in Advance, North Carolina. The couple spent most of the 65 years of their married life ministering at that church as well as various other churches in Tennessee and Virginia. She is survived by her daughter, Harriet Yeapanis, her granddaughter Andrea Gayle; two great grandchildren, all of Newport News, Virginia; and another granddaughter, Stacia Yeapanis of Chicago, Illinois. A graveside service will be held at Redland Pentecostal Holiness Church Tuesday, November 13, at 11:00 a.m. with the Pastor Jonathan Hill officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Redland Pentecostal Holiness Church, 137 Baltimore Rd., Advance, N.C. 27006.
