Thelma Sink

Mrs. Thelma Ruth Petree Sink, 93, passed away Tuesday November 30, 2021.  She was born October 16, 1928, in Forsyth County to the late William and Ruth Petree.  Thelma was a faithful, life-long member of Unity Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.  She was an avid basketball fan, playing for her high school team and watching all the ACC basketball she could.  In addition to her parents, Thelma is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Sink and two brothers, Bill Petree and Don Petree.  She is survived by her two sons, Michael Sink and Keith Sink (Malinda); two grandsons, Bennett Sink and Murphy Sink; and numerous nieces and nephews.  A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor Thelma’s life.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity Baptist Church, 145 Fishel Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107, the American Heart Association, or the American Lung Association.
