Thelma Bryant Niday

Thelma Louise ""Mary"" Niday, 91, of Winston-Salem, passed away, 11:30 am, March 4, 2015 in Lexington, North Carolina. Visitation will be held at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, 3315 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem on Saturday March 7, 2015 from 11:00 - 12:30 pm. A graveside service will be held following visitation at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2730 Peters Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, at 1:00 pm with Billy Norris of Life Impact Church officiating. Mary was born in Roda, Virginia on March 10, 1923. She was owner and operator of Mary's Beauty Shop for over 50 years. Mary is preceded in death by her daughter Joan Niday Blackburn. Mary is survived by her daughters Jaquetta Niday of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Joyce Brandon of Lexington, North Carolina; a sister Mabel Anderson of Bluff City, Tennessee; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1900 S Hawthorne Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Abbotts Creek Center for their support in her final days.
