Terry Lee Martin

Mr. Terry Lee Martin, 67, of Clemmons, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2009, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born on September 9, 1941 in Forsyth County to the late Maurice William and Inez Owens Martin. Mr. Martin was a member of Advance First Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Navy and he had retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 32 years of service. After retirement he worked for Auto Supply in Clemmons as an auto parts deliveryman. Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Cindy G. Martin; 2 sons, Kenny Martin and wife Christine of Wake Forest and Michael Martin and wife Dawn of Charlotte; a daughter, Teresa M. Smith and husband James of Midway; six grandchildren who affectionately knew him as ""Papa T"", Cayce, Kaleigh and Alexandra Martin, Chad, Jonathan and Taylor Smith; a sister, Patricia M. Byrd and husband Thomas Jr. of Winston-Salem; also several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 12:00 noon, with Rev. David Benton officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Kate B.
