Teresa Ann Phelps Shore

Kernersville-Teresa Ann Phelps Shore, 51, passed away Monday, December 21, 2009 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born April 20, 1958 in Forsyth County. Teresa was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church where she rode Bobby Willard's church bus for nearly forty years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with her family especially her grandson, Dayvion. Preceding her in death was her father, Sam Thomas Phelps. Surviving is her two children, Christy Burchard (Jonathan Flake) and Bobby Joe Shore; grandson, Dayvion Flake; mother, Ethel Hicks; two brothers, Eddie Lewis Phelps and Randy Ray Phelps; also surviving are two sisters, Nancy Lynn Phelps and Wendy L. Phelps. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Bobby Roberson and Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
