Teresa Moore

Mrs. Teresa Kennedy Moore, 94, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022.  She was born March 12, 1928, in Newport News, VA to the late Thaddeus DeWitt Kennedy and Melissa Ellen Hall Kennedy.  Teresa lived a deep Christian centered life.  She was an ordained minister, owned a wedding chapel, and oversaw a local food bank.  Teresa was also a published author, and licensed cosmetologist, and enjoyed interior decorating and floral design.  Above all else though, she was a homemaker and family woman who loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.  In addition to her parents, Teresa is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bobby Lee Moore and sister, Rosa Mullins.  She is survived by three sons: Wayne Moore (Cindy), Jim Moore (Brenda), and Phil Moore (Margaret); eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Kennedy and Don Kennedy; and sister, Nita Jessee.
