Teresa Ann Ryan, 65 was unexpectedly called home to Jesus, Friday, December 27, 2024. She was born July 14, 1959, to the late Eugene Mabe and Beverly Meadows Williams. She was the most loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Teresa spent her early years growing up in Walkertown, NC and she graduated from Edgewood Christian School. Most of her adulthood was spent as a homemaker in Welcome, NC ensuring a loving, safe, and stable home for her two daughters who she loved endlessly. Later, she was blessed to watch her grandchildren grow up. Teresa was a devout Christian and loved our Lord. She had an affinity for beach vacations and would plant her toes in the sand given any opportunity she had. Her laugh was infectious, and she made a friend everywhere she went. To know her was to love her.
She was preceded in passing by many loved ones, but most recently her beloved mother, Beverly Meadows Williams; sister, Kewaunee Erdmann; and niece, Brandee Mabe. She grieved the loss of these three loved ones over the past two years and her heart was so broken over their losses.
Left to cherish memories of Teresa are her two beloved daughters, Michelle Gordon of Winston-Salem, and Laura Gordon Brown (Brandon) of Whitsett, as well as her loving brother, Christopher Mabe of Midway; Teresa’s grandchildren, who were the joy of her life, David Taylor of Archdale, Haley Blankenship of Whitsett, Maggie Blankenship of Winston-Salem, Jaxon Brown of Whitsett; great-granddaughter, Kiara of Winston-Salem; loving nieces and nephews, Krystal Parrett (Tommy) of Reidsville, Brittanie Mabe of Midway, Cindy Bowman (Reggie) of Ararat, VA, Shirley Esterly (Eric) of Winston-Salem, David Schrock of Winston-Salem and Michael Esterly (Lynn) of Rural Hall; special family members, Todd Gordon (Samantha) of Loraine, OH, and the Ryan Family of Mt Vernon, OH; Teresa’s best friends Susan Styron, Shirley Green, Valerie Howerton, and Karen Brown, along with many other loving extended family members, friends, and “adopted children” of her daughters’ friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Welcome, located at 404 Welcome-Arcadia Rd Lexington, NC, which is also where flowers may be sent. Officiating the service will be Teresa’s loving cousin, Pastor Curtis Joe Meadows. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is serving the family.
Your Hug Meant the World
Nobody else held me so tight
Or made me feel so right
No one's eyes shined so bright with love
As my mom, who is now high above.
