Teresa Anne Dunsmore Perry, age 70, of Lewisville, loving wife, mother, and grandmother met her Savior on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at 2:12 am, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born May 3, 1951 to the late Clyde and Agness Dunsmore. Also preceded in death by sister Pamela Jeanne Cregger. She is survived by husband and love of her life, N. Arthur Perry; sons Phillip Martin Perry (Tasha) and Michael David Perry (Alicia); 4 grandchildren, Landon, Alysa, Ryann, and McKenzie Perry; brothers Clyde Dunsmore, Jr (Priscilla); Ronald G. Dunsmore, Sr. (Patty); sister, Martha Cooper (Steve); sister-in-law Rosemary Steed (Clark); special brothers-in-law, Kenny Doby and Chuck Cregger; and many special and loving nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
Teresa was employed by Wake Forest Baptist Health at the Wake Forest School of Medicine for over 35 years.
Teresa loved her Savior, her family, and especially her close friends, her Unity Moravian Church family, and coworkers, of which there were many kind and supportive friends.
Teresa also cared for music, animals, and the beauty of God’s world. She believed and saw good in all people, accepting who they were.
Family will receive friends at Unity Moravian Church, 8300 Concord Church Road, Lewisville, NC 27023, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 17, 2021, with a memorial service to follow immediately with the Reverends’ William H. McElveen and Joe Moore officiating, assisted by Student Pastor Dana Myers.
The immediate family will gather privately for interment in the church cemetery following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity Moravian Church or a charity of choice. A few of Teresa’s favorites were; Wake Forest Baptist Health, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project, Second Harvest Food Bank of North Carolina, or ASPCA.
The family wishes to express its appreciation to Trellis Supportive Care and the Comprehensive Cancer Center of Wake Forest Baptist Health for its care and support during Teresa’s illness, especially Dr. Caio M. Rocha Lima and his wonderful staff of PAs’, nurses, and hematology/oncology technicians.
