Mr. Ted Ray Brim, 71, of Pilot Mountain, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 in his home with his loving family. He was born in Surry County on July 3, 1950 to Rev. Calvin Coolidge and Ollie Cleo Brim. Ted was a Vietnam Veteran, serving his country proudly in the United States Army. He was employed for 37 years with Fowler & Jones Construction. Ted was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of Bible Revival Ministries Center. He enjoyed going to the flea market and trading on anything there. Ted also loved motorcycles, making old cars doodle bugs, and spending time with his family. His wife, Ruth was the love of his life; his daughter, Tracie was his pride and joy; his grandson, Koby was his world and buddy, he was so proud of him being a preacher; and Timmy, was more like a son to him rather than a son-in-law.
In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his grandmother, Louetta Brim and his sister, Melba Gammons. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Ruth Brim; his daughter, Tracie Brim Clark (husband, Timmy); his grandson, Koby Max Clark; seven siblings, Joe Brim, Tim Brim, Susan Miller, Linda Brim, Mike Brim (wife, Gail), Kenneth Brim (wife, Janice), and Libby Patterson (husband, Bill); brother-in-law, Charles Gammons; nieces and nephews, Eddie and Dennis Gammons, Timothy Brim, Courtney Simmons, Andy Miller, Ellie, Brittany, and Christian Cinco, Shane and Brett Brim, and Paul and Sam Rogatsios; many great nieces and nephews; and Anita Lambert, who was like a daughter to Ted.
A funeral service for Ted will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, February 18, 2022 at Bible Revival Ministries Center with Donna Daniel and Kelly Haynes officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the church. The family would like to give special thanks to Mountain Valley Hospice for their care during this difficult time. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.

Ted was a very special man. He was honest, hardworking, and a man of his word.
He loved his family with all his heart, which he told us often.
We have been married almost 50 years and he is the love of my life. We have had a good and happy life together.
We didn’t have much money, but we had a lot of love. Tracie was his pride and joy. Koby was his world.
Timmy was more than a son-in-law, he thought of him as a son.
Wedding vows say “till death do us part”, but we will never part. He has my heart and took a part of me with him.
Until we are together again in heaven, I will be empty.
I love you with all my heart and I’ll see you soon. Tell the man upstairs to watch over us. I know he will because you will make sure of that.
See you soon. I love you forever.
~ Ruth
