Tammy Gilchrist

Mrs. Tammy Lynn Turner Gilchrist, 48, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022.  She was born December 9, 1973, in Forsyth County to the Ruth Key Lockard and the late Richard Alvin Turner.  Tammy was loved by everyone who knew her and never met a stranger.  She was a creative artist who loved to paint. What brought her the most pleasure in life was her children who she loved dearly.  In addition to her father, Tammy is preceded in death by her stepfather, Eddy Franklin Atkinson.  In addition to her mother, she is survived by her four children: Kryssy Clayton, Freedom Gilchrest, Destanie Reid, and Adam Lopez; three grandchildren: Noah Baker, Mila Baker, and Wesley Young; two sisters, Mary Ann Turner and Sarah Turner Coulson; stepfather, Herbert “Chip” Lockard; niece, Lillith Lockard; and her K9 best friend, Benji.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
