Tammy Banner

Mrs. Tammy Renee Sprinkle Banner, 57, of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020. She was born in Forsyth County on August 17, 1962, to the late Terry and Elsie Warren Sprinkle. Tammy was very kind, passionate, strong, morally convicted, and would give anyone the shirt off her back if they needed it. She loved her team at Mallard Ridge Assisted Living. The family would like to thank Dr. Timothy Collins and the entire team at Novant Health Oncology Specialists for their care and the Mountain Valley Hospice team, including: Jamie Smith, CNA, Donna Wilson, RN, and Marcy Daye, NP, who provided such great care and support to both Tammy and the family.

Surviving are her husband, Richard Banner; daughter, Amy Seawell (Darrick); son, Sam “Jamie” Seawell; three step-daughters: Sara Lewis (Luke), Meagan Smith (Jason), and Terastar Banner; thirteen grandchildren: Braydon Locklear, Breanda Sealey, Brooklin James, Jailyn Seawell, Austin Seawell, Austin Kight, Avery Kight, Raelynn Lewis, McKenzie Uttley, Katherine Smith, Lucas Smith, Lincoln Smith, and Alyssa Banner; brother, Daniel Yokeley (Lisa); sister, Dawn Mayes (Terry); special aunt, Brenda Ball; special cousin, Lisa Dain; many nieces and nephews; fur baby, Alex; and lifelong friend, Larry Newsome.

A memorial service will be held at later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030, Cancer Services of Davidson County, 25 West 6th Avenue, Lexington, NC 27292, or the Cancer Services of Forsyth County, 3175 Maplewood Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
