Tammie Lynn Voncannon

Ms. Tammie Lynn Voncannon, 54, of Winston-Salem, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.  Tammie was born in Forsyth County on April 30, 1968.  She worked as an administrative assistant in several law offices across North Carolina and Georgia throughout her career.  Tammie enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and the senior citizen community.  She volunteered at assisted living facilities in Winston-Salem and always brought her great dane Maggie with her.  The residents always enjoyed seeing Maggie and they formed a great team that left a lasting positive impact on all they spent time with.  Tammie had a wonderful sense of humor and kept her family and friends laughing.  Tammie was preceded in death by her father, James William Voncannon.  She is survived by her mother, Linda Macey Voncannon; her brother, Chris Voncannon (Jason Childress); and her beloved fur babies, Maggie, Bitsy, and Winnie Rose.  In accordance with Tammie’s wishes, there will be no formal services.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Forsyth Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104.  Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is serving the family of Ms. Voncannon.
