Tammi Lynn Venable

Tammi Lynn Garrett Venable, 56, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2025. She was born on August 23, 1968, to Genel Garrett Horseman. Tammi grew up in Florida and began working at Home Depot as a teenager. After some time, she transferred to a location in Greensboro, North Carolina where she spent 28 years working for the company. Tammi was always involved with her children’s sports, as well as the PTA at their school. She was her kid’s biggest cheerleader. She enjoyed going out and getting to Starbucks, singing karaoke, as well as visiting the beach. Tammi was also a leader and spokesperson for AA. She was a supporter of those who strived to become sober. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her mother, Tammi is survived by her children, AJ and Reece; a brother, Donald “Boo” Schallick (Ewa); a sister, Brittany Boganski; as well as nieces and nephews, Mia, DJ, and Buddy and her former husband of 20 years, Michael Todd Venable.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. A visitation will be held from 12:00-1:45PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Gur Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fellowship Hall at 5140 Dunstan Rd, Greensboro, NC, 27405.
