Mrs. Talie Plastridge Squires, 85, of Bermuda Village in Advance, died Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born January 9, 1927 in Willamantic, CN, the daughter of the late, Wayne Norman and Myrtle Webster Plastridge. Talie was a member of Burkhead United Methodist Church. She graduated from the University of Connecticut with a major in nutrition. She was an expert seamstress, sewing for her family and friends, and knitted over 100 sweaters. She was a superb painter of acrylics and watercolors. She also enjoyed craft work and was a fabulous cook. Her cooking will be missed. She loved playing bridge and was a member of several bridge clubs. She was an understanding wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, William ""Bill"" Campbell Squires of Bermuda Village; three daughters, Deborah Reeder and husband, Harold of Lexington, Margaret Squires of Vancouver, Canada and Nancy Rice and husband, Paul of Houston, TX; one son, Thomas Squires and wife, CarolAnn of Edmond, OK; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Bermuda Village in Advance on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
