T. M. Bill" Foster

Mr. T.M. ""Bill"" Foster, 92, of Winston-Salem passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mr. Foster was born in Norfolk, VA to Thomas Murphy and Hattie Foster on August 8, 1918. He was a member of Immanuel - New Eden Moravian Church where he was very active. Mr. Foster was a graduate of Gray High School and was a self-employed building contractor. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Glenda Foster Sapp and a brother, John Henry ""Toad"" Foster. Mr. Foster is survived by his loving wife, Erma J. Foster of the home; a son-in-law, Jim Sapp of Winston-Salem; three grandsons, Jeff Peoples and wife Gretchen of south Port, James ""Wink"" Sapp, Jr. and wife Scotty, and Jonathan F. Sapp; two great-grandchildren Hunter Sapp and Caroline Peoples; a brother, Jim Foster; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Sherri Bates. A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Cheryl G. Cottingham and Rev. Norwood Green officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Moravian Graveyard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family of Mr. Foster would like to thank the staff at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for the special care they gave to Mr. Foster. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Kate B.
