Sylvia Willard McCann

Sylvia Willard McCann, 78, passed away at home on Thursday, January 26, 2017. She was born on September 28, 1938 to Ila Plowman and James Thomas Willard in Forsyth County. Sylvia will be remembered for her sweet spirit and easy laugh. She was happiest when at the beach. More than anything, she loved her family. Surviving are her daughters, Vicki McCann Williams (Buster), and Tracie McCann Davidson; grandchildren, Russell Williams (Jessica), Jennifer Cline (Nick), Mitchell Davidson, and Michael Williams (Kristal); as well as 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Sue Luper (Tommy); 2 nieces; and some very close cousins. A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. John Jackman and Rev. Russell Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Turners Creek Baptist Church cemetery in Yadkinville. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
