Sybilla Cook Spach, 96, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on April 21, 2015. She was born on February 7, 1919 to Alpha T. Cook and Joshie Crater Cook in Winston-Salem. Sybilla was a life-long member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church. She kept her life simple, dedicating herself to the care and wellbeing of her family. Sybilla was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clyde Spach; brother, Kenneth Cook; and sisters, Drudie Porter, and Ruby Cook. Surviving are her sons, Roger Spach (Brenda) of Lexington, and Ronnie Spach (Sandra) of Boone; grandsons, John Spach (Marcy) of Murietta, CA, and Alan Spach (Caroline) of Orlando FL; step granddaughters, Abbey Flanary Barnes (Jamey) of Clemmons, and Kate Flanary Dellinger (Courtney) of Charlotte; 6 great grandchildren, Gunnar and Colton Spach, Lauren and Aidan Barnes, Mack and Blair Dellinger; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews, including special niece, Ruby Reece. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2015 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor J.J. Jacobson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
