Sybil Reid Cason

Mrs. Sybil Reid Cason, 85 of Greensboro passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at her home. She was born July 15, 1928 in Caldwell County, NC, the daughter of the late William McKinley and Elvey Haas Reid. Mrs. Cason was a member of West Market Street United Methodist Church in Greensboro and was retired from Lucent Technologies after 32 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Livingston Cason, Jr.; two sons, Larry Cason and Terry Cason and one brother, Bill Reid. Survivors include one daughter, Leslie Cason of Winston-Salem; one son, Eugene Cason of the home; a number of nieces and nephews and a very close and dear friend, Vicki Scarbrough of Winston-Salem. A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Pam Strader officiating.
