WINSTON-SALEM - Suzanne ‘Sue' Mary Freeman, 52, passed away February 2, 2011 at her home. She was born October 17, 1958, in LaSalle County, Illinois, to Edward and Marjorie Siebert Swietek. Sue was a very loving and caring person, which complimented her career at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center where she proudly served as an ICU nurse for over 18 years. She was very supportive of her three children, enjoyed traveling and was a great fan of competitive cheerleading. Very fond of being outdoors, Sue liked to garden and especially enjoyed warm weather. Her great sense of humor and ability to make people laugh, made her a joy to be around. She was preceded in death by her father. Surviving are two daughters, Ashley and Kali Jo Freeman; one son, Christopher Freeman; her mother, Marjorie Sweitek; a sister, Peggy Swietek; and a brother Robert Swietek. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Chaplain Paul Mullen officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
